Description
Nordic twist slipover is a feminine slipover with a delicate pattern. It is tightly fitted.
Nordic twist slipover is worked top-down with shoulder increases. While the shoulder increases are made, the neckline is formed with German short rows. When the increases on the shoulders are finished, the front and back are knitted separately and flat. Further increases are made towards the armholes. Front and back are gathered and knitted in the round. The whole of the slipover is knitted in the pattern. The shoulders are knitted in stockinette stitches. The neck, the lower rib at the body, and the rib at the wrists are knitted with 3 mm needles and the rest of the slipover is knitted on 4 mm needles. Tubular bind off is used to ensure a nice finish as well as increasing the functionality.
Make sure the tension is correct. Knit a swatch before you start to find the right needle size. The gauge is stated AFTER washing.
The slipover has a tight fit and negative ease of approximately 0-10 cm. I recommend that you knit the size you normally wear in clothes. The bust circumference in the pattern is noted when the slipover is lying flat. The pattern makes it very elastic and shapes nicely to the body. I recommend trying the slipover along the way and adjusting the length to make sure it fits perfectly.
